Oleksij Molčanov was born on May 24, 1961 in Novorossiysk (Russia). He graduated in Kiev (Ukraine), in the class of doc. Lydia Shur. He enrolled at the Kiev State Conservatory in 1980, where he studied at the Piano Department in the class of prof. Alexander Snegiryov and Vladimir Vinitsky. During his schooling, he won awards as a pianist, of which it is important to mention winning at competition “Lysenko” in Lviv in 1984. He won a special award for performing the obligatory compositions at the first “Rachmaninov” competition in Moscow in 1983. As a student he started doing concerts actively. He has performed as a soloist in numerous chamber ensembles in Ukraine, Russia and Germany.

He graduated from the conservatory on May 22, 1986, by passing the state exams with the highest grades and a reference from the Department of Postgraduate Studies, which he enrolled at the same institution in October 1987. During his postgraduate studies, he was employed as an associate pianist at the Department of Wind Instruments of Kiev State Conservatory. He received his master's degree on October 11, 1989.

After finishing school, he started practicing pedagogy along with giving concerts. He was teaching piano at the Cherkasy Secondary School and was performing as a soloist of the chamber orchestra of the Cherkasy State Philharmonic. In this time period it is worth noting tours with recitals in Ukraine and Lebanon, the performance in Switzerland, concerts with numerous orchestras (Lviv Philharmonic, conductor R. Filipchuk; Philharmonic Dnepropetrovsk, conductor J. Blinov; Kharkiv Youth Philharmonic, conductor J. Janko). Cooperation of special importance is piano duo with V. Muravski in 1988-1992. A number of programs, recordings for State Radio and Television of Ukraine and concerts were carried out. The duo was the winner of the „New Names” award. He collaborated with The National Union of Composers of Ukraine on contemporary music projects and in a chamber duo with G. Kabin (violin).

Since 1995, he has been living in Serbia, where he continued his artistic and pedagogical activities. He prepared several programs that were successfully performed at concerts in Nis, Kragujevac, Zajecar, Negotin and Kotor. One particularly important performance that stands out is the solo concert at the “Mokranjcevi dani” in 1998 in Negotin. In the chamber duo with O. Jakovljevic (violin), he had a notable tour of Serbia and Montenegro in 1999.

He moved to Montenegro in 1999, and since May 2000 he has been employed at the Music Academy of Cetinje.
In July 2003, he was elected an expert associate with a permanent employment at the Music Academy. Since July 2004. he was hired to teach the subject Co-Repetition at Piano study program.

Since 2008 he has been an assistant professor, and since 2014 an associate professor of subjects Co-Repetition at Piano study program and Conducting at the Music Academy. Also, He is a mentor is on postgraduate and specialist studies.

He successfully continues his professional and artistic engagement on all important stages around the country and abroad. As a soloist and in chamber ensembles with eminent artists, he achieved great number of projects. It is enough to mention the names of flutists L. Jovanovic, H. Guoliang, D. Gavric, Z. Lekic, M. Lipovsek, N. Paklar; trumpeter T. Kerekes, horn player B. Lipovsek, bassoonist K. Sensteveold, N Jankovic, oboists G. Porrat, N. Ristic, clarinetists O. Popovic, V. Klenkovski and S. Molchanov, trombonist A. Bencic, violinists J. Nadrzicki and K. Akeinikov, violinists P. Langgartner, H. Kefer, M. Bereznicki, I. Vukcevic, P. Velickovic, cellists A. Rudin, V. Uzur, I. Perazic, A. Latkovic and E. Vucekovic-Veith.

He has performed at the festivals “Mokranjcevi dani”, “Nimus”, “A Tempo”, “KotorArt”, “Montenegro music fest”, “Barski ljetopis”, “Espressivo”, “Nei suoni dei luoghi”, “Budva Grad Teatar”. He was an active participant in the project “Crna Gora jedna kulturna adresa” etc.

As a soloist, in 1996 and 1997 he opened the seasons of the orchestra to the Nis Philharmonic (conducted by A. Novicki and A. Vujic). In 2010, as a soloist, he opened the season of the Cherkasy Philharmonic Orchestra (conducted by A. Dyachenko), and 2011 season of the orchestra “Crnogorski gudaci” (conducted by G. Krasko).

He continued his collaboration with artists and orchestras in Ukraine. Concerts with the Philharmonic Orchestra of Cherkasy as a soloist have received very positive reviews and public attention.

He held seminars (master classes) in Trebinje and Kotor during 2014-2016, and in Ukraine (Cherkasy) in 2017.

He participated in projects and charity concerts of professors and students at all important scenes of Montenegro and Serbia several times.

He is a regular member of the jury of national and international competitions in Ukraine, Montenegro, Russia and Serbia, where he represents Montenegro, that is the Music Academy of Cetinje.

 

Born in Bar (1976), Vladimir Domazetovic (piano) at the age of sixteen was the youngest student at the University of Montenegro, Academy of Music, Titograd. He was studying at the Music academy in Cetinje, and in 2003 finished his postgraduate studies. Between 1995 and 1998, while in Paris at Ecole Normale de Musique de Paris with Professor Marijan Ribicki, Vladimir received diploma for pianist performer. He is a laureate of republic and federal competitions in Yugoslavia. Even though he was only fifteen, he won the first prize while competing with elder students at the First International Piano Competition in Novi Sad. Vladimir won the second prize at the International Piano Competition in Rome (1993), and was the finalist at prominent competition in Senigallia (1994). He performed several times at the festivals such as Barski Ljetopis, Grad Teatar Budva, Espressivo, Montenegro Music Festival, Nomus, etc.  He performed to great acclaim in Greece, Bulgaria, Russia, and very often in Paris in prestige hall Alfred Cortot, as well as in Polish Embassy and in Yugoslavian Culture Centre. During 2008 he performed in Serbia within National Concert Season, and at the international festivals in Bar and Cetinje, and for the first time performed in London. In the same year he performed with prestige String Orchestra Virtuosi di Praga from Czech Republic Bach's piano concerto in F minor at the festival Barski Ljetopis. His concerto performances also include Tchaikovsky's piano concerto No.1 ( with Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra in Podgorica), Mozart's piano concerto KV 467 ( with Montenegrin Symphony Orchestra at the age of 14 ). He was participant of the number of masterclasses with distinguished piano professors such as Konstantin Bogino, Jean Fassina, Vladimir Viardo and Jacques Rouvier. He has received many awards recognizing his accomplishments by Centre for Contemporary Arts, Podgorica, Municipality of Bar and Montenegrin Academy of Science and Arts (CANU). He is a music director of international festival Barski Ljetopis. Vladimir is a professor at the Academy of Music, Cetinje.
