Wydarzenie odbędzie się pod opieką artystyczną i koordynacją prof. Adama Palmy – wybitnego gitarzysty, pedagoga i promotora międzynarodowej wymiany artystycznej, którego działalność edukacyjna i koncertowa od lat wyznacza standardy współczesnego jazzu w Europie.

Urban Quartet – Live in European Conservatories is the new international tour of the Italian jazz ensemble Urban Quartet, made possible thanks to Saint Louis College of Music winner of the 2024/2025 edition of the SIAE “Per Chi Crea”, one of the most important Italian music contests. The band – consisting of Gianluca Robustelli (guitar), Giuseppe Sacchi (piano), Vincenzo Quirico (double bass) and Federico Balestra (drums) – are among Saint Louis’s most promising artists and recently released their debut album Sofà, featuring jazz icon Max Ionata.
The project Urban Quartet – Live in European Conservatories includes a live tour of the auditoriums of seven different European conservatories plus a masterclass led by the band. The Masterclass focuses on jazz music and advanced performance techniques – a valuable opportunity for conservatory students to interact directly with the musicians and experience a meaningful educational exchange.
Moreover, all performances will be recorded to publish their first live album, which will be released in digital and in a limited-edition vinyl.
Urban Quartet blends traditional jazz sounds with contemporary elements, experimenting with new rhythmic and harmonic dynamics. Their music is marked by a refined interplay between band members and a strong expressive ability that appeals to both jazz enthusiasts and a broader audience. Their debut album Sofà has already received enthusiastic reviews in Italy for its fresh sound and high-quality execution.
The Urban Quartet is composed of four Saint Louis College of Music Alumni. They have performed at Italy's most prestigious jazz festivals and won the Audience Award at Umbria Jazz in 2022.
