Characteristics: The aim of the programme is to develop the conductor's workshop in accordance with the level and interests of the candidate, as well as to broaden the general music knowledge in the field of a cappella and oratorio and cantata artistic projects in the form of concerts, recordings and live-streaming.
The programme is aimed at graduates of Polish and foreign universities with a bachelor's or master's degree (completion of studies in conducting is not required) and graduates of foreign universities with a bachelor or master of arts degree, or their equivalents (Polish citizenship is not required). The language of the classes is Polish or English. Individual classes may take place in another language, after agreeing with the teacher.
The programme includes basic (fixed cost) and optional/additional (variable/additional cost), including individual classes.
The basic item package includes:
- a cappella conducting
- oratorio-cantata conducting
- observation of choirs (internships as assistants)
- choral composition / arrangement
- instrument study/ Instrumentation
- score work / creating piano reductions
- artistic project management (with marketing elements)
- teaching internships (as artistic internships in cooperation with undergraduate and graduate students in „choral conducting” specialization)
- seminars/webinars
- studio work (with the recording of a diploma art project)
The optional / non-obligatory package may include:
- selected instrument
- singing
- composition / arrangement
The classes take place on a non-fixed basis – they are conducted at the university (once a month – Friday-Saturday-Sunday) and also via distance-learning techniques. Students are guaranteed access to library resources and music libraries.
The programme allows students to apply for the degree of doctor of musical arts in an extramural system and provide substantive care from a supervisor / artistic and scientific supervisor selected from among specialized and recognized scientific and artistic staff.
The condition for obtaining a certificate in postgraduate programme is the completion of all the basic subjects covered by the program and the implementation (recording) of the artistic project under the supervision of a selected teacher.
